VOICe is proud to endorse Danny Clawson, Amanda Marko, and Kathy Cohen for Roanoke City Council. VOICe supports leaders who recognize that strong outdoor infrastructure—connected greenways, well-maintained trails, accessible parks, safe routes for walking and biking, and protected natural spaces—is essential to Roanoke’s health, economy, and quality of life.
VOICe’s endorsement reflects the candidates’ shared appreciation for the role outdoor recreation and infrastructure play in strengthening neighborhoods, supporting local businesses, improving public health, and welcoming residents and visitors alike. The organization believes Roanoke must continue building a city where every resident can safely and easily access parks, trails, greenways, and outdoor opportunities.
Meet the Candidates!
The endorsed candidates will attend the Carilion GO Outside Festival (GOFEST) on October 18, 2026, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, giving attendees a chance to meet them and show their support for Roanoke’s outdoor future. GOFEST is an annual three-day celebration of outdoor recreation in Virginia’s Blue Ridge, held in downtown Roanoke at Elmwood Park and at Explore Park.
Thank you once again for your participation and support!
